Obama - The dream realized.

January 19th and 20th 2009 will forever remain etched in the annals of history, irrevocably linked in a way that symbolically transcends mere dates on a calendar . The man that had a dream died but left a legacy that sprang into life through another man whose triumphant destiny will be sealed with that of the nation as he becomes inaugurated the first black president of the United States of America on the day after Martin Luther King's birthday. If posterity had planned this, it couldn't' have turned out any more perfectly.

It is as if Barrack Obama's presidency had been divinely ordered. He came out on top against all the odds that were stacked against him and won the hearts of supporters across the world. As our new President prepares to be inaugurated, Our Very Own Place congratulates him and his cabinet for the bold new step that they are embarking towards a new tomorrow for America. May God bless and protect our new President Obama.

The excitement of swearing in our first African American President continued to swirl around Washington for days/weeks, perhaps even months. I was in Washington D.C on the week end after the inaguration, and everywhere there was evidence that our presiodent is loved and optimism seemed to rule the environment.
Thanks Dan for your comments. The entire world seems to have the same consensus about our new president. He seems to have been divinely ordained to take on the mantle of the presidency at this time in history, and everything was lined in his favor to get him there. He has an enormous job ahead but history will be on his side regardless of the outcome. He has great intention and he is pouring his heart and soul into the mission to redeem the American dream for the millions whose lives have been shattered by the past mismanagement of others.
